Updated: In spring 2013, our cafe in Whitechapel proudly captured the attention of Bernama, Malaysia’s national news agency and the equivalent of Reuters. Renowned for delivering trusted and influential stories, Bernama celebrated our authentic Malaysian cuisine, with particular praise for our ever-popular Panini Chilli Sardin.
This recognition was a proud milestone for us, as the feature appeared in major Malaysian newspapers, showcasing our commitment to bringing the true flavours of Malaysia to London. It was an honour to be acknowledged for staying true to our culinary heritage while reaching an international audience.
At Rasa, we continue to carry forward this legacy, sharing the vibrant tastes of Malaysia with every dish we serve.
Featured in East End Life: A Delicious Milestone!
Hooray! On 29 July 2013, we were thrilled to be featured in East End Life, the official newspaper of the Council.
The glowing review came from an anonymous author writing under the delightful pseudonym, Munching Mama. She praised everything about her visit – the food, service, ambience, and pricing – and shared how much her entire family enjoyed the experience.
“Mama” went on to say, “We decided to return for more savoury snacks, cakes and (even) let the kids eat adult food.” High praise indeed, and a testament to the authentic and welcoming experience we strive to create at Rasa.
Thank you, Munching Mama, for recognising our passion for bringing the true flavours of Malaysia to the East End!
